SSL for xauth.org is broken

xauth.org is using Akamai to cache the JS, but https retrieval of the
JS yields certificate warnings because the servers are using Akamai's
certificates, not those for xauth.org. I imagine this is a money
issue :o but it should be fixed or at least noted as on the list of
things that will be fixe before the public starts using this for real.
(Allen may have mentioned this already.)

Hi there,

We will be working with Akamai in the upcoming weeks to implement SSL
as well as having Akamai fully manage the content so meebo's origin
(or netstorage) is removed from the equation. So it's coming. :)

Also, if the folks are nervous about what happens in case Akamai goes
down, we can easily failover to Limelight or Edgecast. I haven't seen
a full Akamai failure in a long time but theoretically it can happen.
Meebo has been using the multi CDN strategy for a while so the
implementation should be fairly trivial if we were to assist in that.
