Can you elaborate. I usually have all my files default to DWF for print. But I use the project navigator or sheet set manager to plot to PDF. I have never really figured out where PN and SSM pull their PDF print options from. Can you help?
Turns out, that I wasn't using PDF-xchange for printing afterall. I was using Publish to PDF via the project navigator....and the guys at tracker-software explained that the driver used to print the document was PDFTron PDFNet, V9.01778, which i suspect is built into Autodesk Publishing.
This is driving me nuts. Every few days, I have to load my profile again. This is now occurring on two different computers. As soon as I reimport a good profile, it prints well again.
Any ideas?
Wow...not sure how that help. I've been using the Project Navigator Print to DWF and Print to PDF for 15 years. It has worked flawlessly. Suddenly I have a issue where my stamp doesn't print. How does your recommendation help?
Based on my experience for what it's worth, I think the sheet set manager expects to see the Autodesk dwg-pdf.pc3 using "Autodesk eplot (pdf)" for publishing and passes the settings on plot by plot basis to that pc3 file using a pdf preset which can be found the in the sheet set pdf publish options and sheet set publish dialog box.. There are a few settings that should match as best as possible, Vector quality, Raster image quality and capture fonts mainly for consistency between publish and the occasional single plot. A fresh pc3 file should be made using the wizard for your current release.
I believe I have identified exactly when the problem occurs. No idea what to do to bring permanent fix. The problem occurs when I use background printing and publishing. If I don't use background printing and publishing, Plotting to PDF works just fine.
Any ideas?
