Where do my saved configurations go?

I have been using Xaos for two whole days! I have had a great time.
I have been saving the configurations and the images I liked. The
images wind up on my desktop, because that's where I sent them, but
where is the record of my configurations? I am working fast and not
taking notes. I want to be able to repeat any successes I have. Do I
have a file stored on the net somewhere? I keep waiting for my mac to
explode from storing so much new data, but I have had no luck finding
the files on my mac that might tell me what formula I used and what
modifications I applied.(Thank you for the mac version, by the
way! :))))))

I can't answer your question, but I am also having an issue with saved configurations. When I make a change to my configuration and save it, Xaos tells me it is saved in my user directory in a file '.XaoSrc'. The only documentation I can find through Google for this file is a note that the file was added in version 3.0, that it is a unix file thst is supposed to be in either the home directory (~/.XaoSrc) or "startup" directory. (The Windows analog is a .cfg file.) There is no "startup" directory on my Mac (OSX 10.6.8) and there is no ".XaoSrc" anywhere to be found on my hard drive. The data is being saved somewhere, because Xaos does recall my saved configurations, with one annoying exception. That is, it will not save its own default configuration. When I select "reset to defaults" from the "Fractal" menu, and then attempt to save the default configuration, Xaos tells me the data has been saved, but the next time I launch Xaos, the configuration reverts to the first configuration I saved from the first time I changed and saved a configuration. The data is definitely not stored in the preferences .plist file and I have also looked inside the Xaos package file and can find no trace of it.
