Start animation rendering from a given frame?

Hello community,
I'm having some unexpected halting problems rendering animations (it seems to quit working and say the render process is interrupted whenever I walk away from the computer...) so I'm curious if there's a way to "resume" rendering at a given frame. If so, it would make my life MUCH easier for long renders...
