Many times fans wonder why their favourite actors took up certain roles as they looked misfit in those characters or didn't fit in their filmography entirely. Not just that, there are actors who without shying said which films they regret doing and call it a mistake. A few actors namely Abhay Deol, Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi, Govinda, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Twinkle Khanna and many others shared their thoughts on the film they regretted doing.

In 2007, Amitabh Bachchan received backlash for playing the role of Babban Singh the main antagonist in the remake of Sholay titled Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag. During an interaction with a media agency, when quizzed about the failure of the film, the legendary actor stated, "That you ask him (Ram Gopal Varma). Whenever a film is made and I am part of it. Whatever mistakes would have happened (failure) or whatever good things would have happened I take responsibility for that. I feel an actor and a director should be held responsible for the failure of a film. I won't say I made a mistake. I worked on the film with all honesty. Maybe it was not the right decision, we accept that."

Big B added, "I can't put my finger on it. I feel if I am part of a remake film I take it as a compliment. Whether a film should be remade or not is the decision of producers and artists involved. Some films have been made and they have been successful but it is a debate. In a way, it is like complementing the original and in a way saying don't touch the original because that is the best."

During an interaction with Bollywood Hungama, Govinda revealed why he took up the role of a villain in Kill Dill which was a debacle film. The veteran actor stated, "I asked my wife and my children about it. They very honestly told me that I didn't have much of a choice. The kind of roles I wanted to do were not coming my way and I wasn't keen on the kind of offers I was getting. My family told me to take up the offer, or I'll be left behind."

Katrina Kaif's debut film is Boom which she wishes to wipe off from her filmography. Earlier during an interaction with The Times of India, the actor had shared, "The film wasn't planned, it just happened. It might not be a great launching pad, but I get to work with a legend like Amitabh Bachchan. When I signed the film, I was not aware of Indian culture and tradition. Had I known that aspect of India, I would not have done the film. I would not do anything like that again. And if this means that I won't get to do films anymore, I won't, especially if filmmakers expect me to do all the stuff that they see in Boom."

Priyanka Chopra Jonas played the female lead in Ram Charan's Bollywood debut Zanjeer. However, she had a limited role and it was her next film after a kickass performance in Barfi. While talking about Zanjeer, Priyanka told The Times of India, "Sometimes we make mistakes."

Sajid Khan's Humshakals has been called out by masses and declared utter flop at the box office. The film has Saif Ali Khan as one of the leads and said that he will never repeat a mistake like this movie. The actor told The Times of India, "The film didn't have a script as such, it was all there in Sajid's mind. I did whatever he asked me to. I did the film thinking that it will help me expand my market, but obviously, that wasn't a clever idea. I've been introspecting a lot and will never repeat a mistake that was Humshakals."

Twinkle Khanna often tells that her film Mela was the last resort and she hardly took a look back at acting. The writer once wrote on her Instagram page, "Certain things, I suppose, are timeless! This popped up in my messages today and what can I say except Mela has certainly left a mark or a scar, whichever way you look at it, on me and the rest of the nation."

Having given a rocking dance number 'Laila O Laila' for 'Naayak', Ram Charan is said to have tapped his feet for another dazzling dancing number 'Mumbai Ke Hero' for his bollywood debut film 'Zanjeer'. Impressed with his dances, the director of this film Apoorva Lakhia called Cherry as 'Jackson Kaa Baap'. His tweet went on, " Just wrapped a kick ass song for #zanjeer "Mumbai Ke Hero" with Charan.... He killed it... Jackson ka baap hai who boss..."
