[XAM Developer] XAM softwares, VIM implementations and legal aspects

Hello,

I am new in eXtensible Access Method (XAM) use and I have some
questions about it.

First of all, I have searched, on the web, software programs which are
using XAM but I have not found any convincing results. Could somebody
give me any XAM software names or links (free or not) ?

Secondly, I am not certain of the legal aspects of XAM for commercial use.
I have read that the XAM SDK is under BSD License. So, it can be used
either for free software or commercial software without payment.
Maybe, a certification with SNIA is needed for commercial use or a
member subscription.
Indeed, I have seen that it exists a members area on the SNIA website.

Are others VIMs existing today ? For instance VIMs for NetApp FAS6000,
FAS3100, FAS2000...
