HiI'm using acer aspire A515-56 laptop. Few months back i faced a slow startup issue in Windows 10... It was taking 4-5 min to get in to the login screen... After login system again takes some time to load the desktop completely. I had tried all the online solution for this.. Nothing worked. So decided to update to Windows 11... But still same problem persist... Now it actually takes 7-8 min.. Like 2 min for acer logo screen then 5 - 6 min showing please wait ... Can't find what could be the exact problem.. Tried fixing disk defragmentation and virus scan.. Also disabled all startup apps. Still not getting any changes... Please someone step forward and fix this for me...

As it seems you have tried a couple of troubleshoots you can try some more and if these steps are of no use then I would you to go for an Inplace upgrade. Even after this if you face a slow boot up it is most probably a Hardware issue that you need to diagnose with Acer tools.

Hello after turning on fast start up, i noticed some changes... Before it was 2 min for acer logo and and 7 min for please wait logo and then login screen. But after enabling fast startup the acer logo ran in about 10 sec but after that a black screen came and it ran for 7 min and then to login screen. Literally after enabling fast startup please wait section is replaced by black screen for same amount og time. So i believe there is something loading in that time making this slow startup but i checked the startup apps and all of them are disabled already by me. I have done bios update, disk clean up, Defragmented the disk, cleaned temp files.. Nothing worked. If you got anymore methods to be tried before going to in place upgrade please tell or else will go for in place upgrade . Also one thing to remind is that as i mentioned in the above comment the issue was having in windows 10 as well, i thought an upgrade to Windows 11 would solve the problem. But it didn't

I had a similar problem with my A515-57. What appears to have ultimately solved the problem was to boot into the BIOS, disable secure boot, reboot into windows, then reboot back into the BIOS and re-enable secure boot.

It should be noted that the way to disable secure boot in the BIOS is kind of wierd. You need to first enable supervisor password in security tab, then it will let you change secure boot settings. After you are finished changing secure boot settings you can disable supervisor password and it will keep the last setting for secure boot.
