Hi, I just have a simple question on xaDisk and the xaHome folder.

Some transactional systems like commons-transactions (apache) require to have the working directory on the same partition that the store directory (to guarantee the atomicity of a move operation).

I don't find this kind of information in the XaDisk documentation. Does XaDisk have this requirment or is it possivle to have a XadiskHome on a partition and the store dire on another one ?

Thanks in advance for your reply :).

Hi,

There is no such requirement in xadisk - the xadisk system directory may be on a different partition. In case of rename failing, xadisk uses copy-and-delete workaround. xadisk implementation does not require the underlying rename to be atomic.

Thanks,
Nitin
