The last time I used xAct in Mathematica 14.3 was at the beginning of November. Now, I had to check something new and wanted to reuse my notebooks. In the meantime, macOS decided to remove my entire Applications folder from the `/Library/Mathematica/` folder. I re-downloaded xAct and re-created the `Applications` folder and put xAct in there. Now, Mathematica was again able to find xAct, yet warned me that xPerm.mac cannot be checked for security and got blocked.
I checked xPerm.mac with virustotal and not a single vendor flagged the file.
I then added a security exception to allow macOS to run xPerm.mac. Now, xAct seems to be working again.
I don't know what the entire Applications folder got removed from the Wolfram folder.
I don't know why xPerm.mac suddenly gets flagged (this didn't happen in November).
This is just a heads-up that weird things are happening on macOS. If anyone can provide some insights into this I'd be happy to hear more about it.
Cheers
