Hello,

After a useful bit of feedback that I received from someone testing
xAce, I have added a requirements section to the README and removed a
reference to an X11 header file that was causing problems.

Hello again,

Answering Steve, and helping others:

Requirements should mention
x11-utils (were xmkmf resides) but also
the libx11.6-dev library needed to compile xACE

However I feel as not very good if xmkmf is needed
I would suggest Steve to load the dev library first and test first
using today's tools.
The above name references are from memory, try "lib x11 6 dev" (with
spaces) to find the library.

xACE still stable.
TAP files saved with several words, Loads ok.
vocabularies not tested yet.
TAP files not compatible with 81's TAP files. (I have no tools to see
why)

Cheers,
"someone" :)

Ah yes, I forgot to mention the xutils for xmkmf, just added that to the
Requirements section. As I mentioned to Steve, I have just uploaded a
change to this which I think is a bit clearer. What do you think?

I agree xmkmf is a bit dated now, however I think that it would have at
least explained about the missing libraries. When you say today's
tools, what are you thinking? I was going to investigate alternatives
such as CMake or the GNU autotools.

Good to hear that it is at least stable. The TAP files are not
compatible with 81's yet. I think the problem is the lack of a
checksum. I have created an issue on GitHub:
http://github.com/LawrenceWoodman/xAce/issues#issue/3 and would like to
ensure that this is sorted for the next release.

;-) Sorry to refer to you as "someone", but I wasn't sure if I should
mention you by name as it was a direct email and you hadn't posted
anything yet.
