Are you sure the BSAVE should come before the : definition in the testing procedure? Or is it testing the non overwrite of the : definition? Which also makes sense.

Does `cat inputtextfile | xace` work as expected?

Yes, the colon is in the correct place. As I remember this is loading
the text directly in and out of the input buffer.

Unfortunately you can't pipe input into xace yet. It is planned for
later though.
