Thanks for the update on Gene. The wife and I are at our cabin in Murphy, NC for a visit so I cannot get by the hospital to visit him. Would it be possible to have more info like what hospital or an address that I could send a card or encouragement? Thanks for keeping us all informed. We do appreciate you and your efforts.

Hi All,
This being my NARFE and Breakfast weekend, was kinda busy and I’m remiss in sending this about 24 hours late. I got a call yesterday afternoon and the caller said she was Pat Janikowski. Since I don’t have any reason to be getting calls from Pat, I told her she was scaring me. Said she didn’t mean to but, it was about Gene and he was OK. She said he had trouble sleeping on Mon. night(I believe). He got up and took an antacid and reared back in his recliner. It eased off some and I think he got a little rest but, he still felt bad enough to see a doctor. Think she said he went to the ER but, in any event, tests showed he had several heart blockages. Later that day they did a quadruple by-pass. He’s doing fine and expects to be released on Mon. I’ll try to be more prompt with additional news.
