Are any southern X's going along apart from me?

It is the 27th of this month and I am sure that there will be places
still available.....

I have the entry forms etc if anyone is interested, just let me know.

I'm hoping to be there. The Fiat's fit but I have had a shoulder operation
but am hoping to be fit to drive.

Cheers

Hi, finally got back to your thread on Fiat Forum last night. I'd be
interested to know more about the exhaust system you built. While my girl's
pretty standard I do know a good exhaust makes the world of difference - it
certainly did to my 128SL I use to have.

Hopefully we can talk at track day but any idea of price to get another
exhaust built to your design. I was definitely impressed with the CAD and
welding skills you displayed.

Cheers

The headers made a big difference to the car, basically it has meant
another 750 revs and moved the power peak up by that amount as well.
It feels so much livelier and sounds awesome.

I have costed the headers with the intention of maybe making a few
sets, but there would be very little change from a grand and I just
cant see people wanting to pay that much. If enough people were
interested it would keep the cost down a bit, but the market is fairly
limited - plus I am a wee bit reluctant to sell these as a 'bolt on'
performance item when all that has happened is I have hacked together
something that *I* think is the right thing - if I had spent another
20k building a dozen prototypes and testing them on a dyno with 3
different engines etc then maybe I would be a bit more confident....

Either way I am pretty happy with the result, and assuming nothing
breaks or blows up on the day, you will see the bountiful results of
my labours come the 27th.....

Hi Dylan

just a thought - maybe send an email directly to all the southerners
about this event (using the latest X1/9 Register members list (Jan
issue...) (sorry i dont have it handy)), because not everyone on the
Register is signed up to this 'ere forum

...would be good to get lots of Exxys together at once (and send pics
after!! cheers!).

Thanks
Anthony

Done, I have just spammed most of the south island....and a
photographer friend of mine will be out there on the day with his
expensive camera ready to snap a few pics.

I have just got back from Ruapuna - there was a truly awesome turnout
of X's - at one point there were 7 out there! The most we got lined up
was 6 but you have to be pretty happy with that...

Some better photos were taken which hopefully will get posted, this
one is from my cell....

Unfortunately I had issues with an oil leak - so I only did the
morning. I still managed a fairly serious amount of drifting while I
was out there though...
