Over the next couple of months I will be dismantling a 1981 1500 cc
x19.

The body is shot and I doubt if any panels would be salavagable.

The motor has not gone for many years - I obtained the car as a
'donor' and I have no idea when it last run.

I need a small number of parts for my own x19 (speedo cable, seat belt
stays and ingnition key lock) but there maybe some other parts that
are available.

Please let me know if you are looking for a part - I may be able to
help. I already have a request for the glove box and a heater
control.

The car is located in Wellington.

John.

Hi Anthony,

According to the guys on the US (Seattle) X-Forums, the brake fluid
reservoir for a few earlier VW Golf models is identical to the X1/9
type. You may want to search around a few of the local wreckers to
investigate this. Also there is an X clutch reservoir currently for
sale quite cheap on EBay UK - I haven't got the sale ref no. handy but
you can scroll thru the recent X1/9 listing to find it.

cheers,

Old fart (Ian)
