The just-released catalyst 8.6 works for me pretty well. Some 3D
programs hang with a segfault when I quit them, but they can then be
killed. Performance is quite good, I can play world of padman with
high details and high texture quality on my 1250 with about 30fps.

Does this release fix the intermittent freezes during startup and/or
the hardlocking when restarting X or logging out when atieventsd is
enabled?
