Dave,

I have not seen any updates for this process. We still had issues
with the fields not outputting correctly. They are not extracting the
data as they do from the XML. Which, it should be the same, just a
different method of outputing the data.

We are now working with very large clearinghouse files. We also will
be in a full production mode soon running hundred of thousands of
records through daily by end of summer. The xml parse process will
need to be updated to the OBDC program.

Your thoughts and time line?

Thanks,
Danielle

On our Basic Training page we have added a section on how to
configure the parser for use
with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express via ODBC.

http://com1software.com/training/C1D0F252.htm

The ODBC function has been in the parser for a couple of months now.

Thanks
Dave

Dave,

Have the following issues we mentioned several weeks ago been
addressed in the ODBC? I believe you have copies of our maps.

- The 837 data has all NULLS for all fields right of IREVCODE9.
- The 835 fields seem mixed up. Notice CLAIMPATCTL only has 1
character, and CLAIMSTATUSCODE looks truncated, and CLAIMSTATUSDESC
has dollar amounts.

Thanks,
Brent

Brent,

In this new version we have corrected the problems with the ODBC and
it seems to be running a lot better.

One issue I found that I wanted to make you aware of is that there is
a 255 field limit in our ODBC export.

I am still looking at what we can do to get past this barrier and will
let you know as I make progress.

Also we need to look at the ability to have the Merger and Overwrite
work with the ODBC.

Let me know if you are still having any problems.

Thanks
Dave
