Dave,

Can you give me the latest update on the multiple ISA process? I have
been manually breaking (well, not really manual -- but using a script
we created) the multi ISA files apart and would like to try again
using the parser to do this. I tried to run it for an 835 file and it
output the file with .837? Is there something I need to set first?

Also, have you given any consideration to not having to break the ISAs
into separate files, but letting the map handle reading and
determining the multiple ISA format?

Thanks,
Danielle

Danielle,

Sorry to say not a lot has been done to deal with those nasty multi
ISA files we were looking at
before. Your description of breaking apart the file is something we
were trying to do with the ISA parse.

The code for the ISA parse is pretty simple so I was going to write an
open example of what we are trying
to do in our code and post it on the group so we could iron out the
problem of these multi ISA files a little faster.

I am in the process of setting up how to go about building a program
using Harbour.

http://www.harbour-project.org/

That way anyone can compile and test the code.

I hope to have it done shortly.

Thanks
Dave

Danielle,

I started working on a program written in Harbour Mini Gui that we can
use to create separate individual files from a multi ISA file.

http://harbourminigui.googlepages.com/

Roberto Lopez has done a great job of creating HMG , it's real easy to
use.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/harbourminigui/

Download and install on HMG on your c drive.

You will see that I have posted a file here on the group called
PARSEISA.ZIP.

Unzip it in a test folder on your c drive.

In a dos prompt in your test folder if you display the directory
contents you should see
a compile.bat test.prg test.exe and testisa.837.

The test.prg is the source code and the testisa.837 is our example of
one of those
nasty multi ISA 837 files.

To compile the program simply type in COMPILE TEST at the dos prompt.

I have the program so it will read in the x12 separators and display
them.

I will be making an update shortly to our test program that will
contain the better
part of the ISA parse code.

Let me know if you have any questions or problems trying to get our
test program running.

Thanks
Dave

Danielle,

A new parseisa.zip is avalable with code that parses ISAs into
seperate files.

If we find that this seems to work for you we will apply some changes
to
the regular parser.

Thanks
Dave
