OK, so - my mother - when she decided to come into my room to use my phone - she decideds to move my laptop and place it DIRECTLY ON TOP OF MY PS2! (the fat PS2)
Now when it tries to read DVDs I get a faint clicking sound before the DVD goes into a full spin.
What does that mean, what can I do, and should I get a slim Ps2, or will I basically be walking into the same trouble
since the slim ps2 is smaller, heats up faster, is more compact, more fragile etc...
Also - by DVD i mean DVD movies/video
not PS2 games on DVD-9 or whatever it is/any DVD disc type PS2 game.
it reads music, black ps2 discs and blue discs fine.
i also threw mgs2 in there and had no problems, altho i didnt play the game, i think i just let it see if it would initially RUn and it let the intro run.
it only makes that noise when i'm watching DVDs and it doesn't seem to read scratched up discs.
i dont know if i had a problem w/ that before. (scratched up discs not being able to be read)
I'm not sure how many Ps2s/DVD players read scratched-up discs (i got these used off of Amazon and have to return 3 so far, because they at one point or another during playback, i got "unable to read disc" - not that i would expect the discs to be read, if theyre scratched up to hell, and some of these discs were pretty damn bad...)
