The team is responsible for developing technologies such as de-duplication, compression, etc. for reducing storage costs as well as making data management more efficient. Qualifications The ideal candidate for this job has worked on successful enterprise class storage products. Specific skills and abilities include - - 6+ years of hands on experience. - Strong C programming. Perl, shell scripting is a plus. - Deep knowledge of Unix systems internals, multi-threaded programming and networking fundamentals. - Excellent debugging skills. Extensive experience using debug tools like gdb, network packet analyzers, etc. - Experience designing features in one or more of the following areas - NFS and/or CIFS servers, file systems, NDMP, replication, clustered servers, de-duplication. - BS or MS in Computer Science. Job Description for the different positions is listed below: A) ESXi Drivers: Development: 4-8+ - ESXi 5.0 + Drivers - Experience in VMware & ESXi mandatory QA/Test: 4+ - Extensive VMware Infrastructure and Performance testing - Experience in VMware & ESXi mandatory B) Linux Drivers (Kernel Space) Development: 8+ - Flash Translation Layer + Linux Kernel Space + Storage - HW/SW Driver development (Register level programming) - Experience in Linux mandatory QA/Test: 4+ - Testing of Storage Systems + Linux Drivers (At File system and Block Dev level) - Experience in Linux mandatory C) Windows Drivers Development: 4-8+ - Virtual Miniport Driver + Storage Device Drivers (Storport) - Previous experience in Windows drivers development a must QA/Test: 4+ - Testing of Windows Drivers - Previous experience in Windows drivers development a must D) Embedded Drivers Development: 4-8+ - Embedded Linux development; Atom / Arm Processor; Firmware, HW/SW Interfacing Technical lead: 12+ - Should have led technically an embedded FW test team.
