Hello,

I was one of the few that got a 12" Duo for my kickstarter pledge.  I didn't however receive my bed heater before the company evaporated.  I want to add it now, but I don't know what size power supply I need.  The printer came with a smaller 24v 10a PSU.  The new heated bed I purchased is a 300mm X 300mm and is 300 watts which by itself needs 12.5 amps.  Does anyone know how many amps the printer needs to function?  I'm wondering if I purchase a 20a power supply if that will be large enough to run the printer and the heated bed.  I know I also need to upgrade my firmware because my printer does not have setting for a heated bed.  I'm reading into how to do that now.

Please, if anyone knows what size the power supply needs to be, let me know.

Thank you!!

Sorry, I mis-typed....  The bed heater I got is 280mm X 280mm (11" X 11") and 300 watts.

24v 20A is fine for your use case. Factory with a 250w heated bed is 16A at 24v.

I would also suggest that you get an external relay and drive heated bed directly from the power source.  There have been a couple people that had their main board burn up at the heated bed connector.
