Discovery-Based Projects for First Year EE, CE, CS, BE and EET Students

The IEEE is issuing a call for educators to develop hands-on,
discovery-based projects for the benefit of first year students in
Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), Computer
Science (CS), Biomedical Engineering (BE) and Electrical Engineering
Technology (EET).

This call for participation is a public invitation to submit project
plans to be considered for full development.

Authors of completed projects will receive an award which includes:
A monetary award of US$10,000 USD;
An invitation to present the project at an IEEE-sponsored workshop;
A plaque and congratulatory letter.

Initial abstracts are due by 31 March 2009. Complete details regarding
the call for proposals are available at the Real World Engineering
Projects Web site at .

This is something that might be viable for next year ... OR ... submit
the next launch as a project with them.
