Dear Societies,

Joseph Johnson, the Professional Development Committee of Theta Tau,
sent out an email regarding the Engineering Social BBQ. This event is
very informal in nature to promote a comfortable/approachable
environment still while being professional in dealing with companies.
It is intended to be a BBQ social for societies, employers and
students to gather, mingle, network and recruit.

This event took place in Fall 2007 and was a major success between the
societies, companies, students and faculty members. We’ve had roughly
8 societies, 8 companies and 200 students stop by. I would hate for
any of you to miss out on this great event.

Event Information:

Date: March 11th, 3:30 – 5:30 pm
Location: ENB Courtyard (outside of Fishbowl)
Societies and companies set up with officers/employers and flyers/
brochures
Free food (BBQ)

What I need from each society is the following:
1) Would you like to participate (just show up to set up)? (Yes
or No)
2) Any companies you might be able to invite?

Past societies participated:

Theta Tau
Society of Automotive Engineers
Engineering College Council
Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers
Biomedical Engineering Society
Association for Computing Machinery
Society of Hispanic Profession Engineers
Tau Beta Pi

Past companies participated:

Cott Beverages
Butcher Block
Sun Hydraulics
Adaptive Methods
Baxter
URS Corporation
Mosaic
Beck
Ferrera Tooling

Please respond by Thursday, February 26th. We need to move forward
with ordering tables and want to make sure we have one for each
society. I’m looking forward to your replies and comments!

I'll go.  I like food.  Perhaps we can find companies willing to sponsor us and some of our projects.

Where do I/we/xlabs sign up?
