Another use case: alerts

Another use case came up today which may have already been discussed, but I personally get a lot of email alerts about server issues. Ideally, we wouldn't have many, but sometimes there are a lot. I don't want to filter them, because they are important at the time, but I have no need to keep them as records, because my monitoring systems keep much better logs. I often delete them manually, but I do think it would be pretty cool if they just went away after a couple of days.

That one hits home for me too. I think a cool feature of the monitoring notification system could then be to let you set the expiration on your own alerts.

anything of a temporal nature. like emails promoting promotional/sales
at the respective emailing clothing retail company.
