Guerlain 'Terracotta Four Seasons' BronzerI am a "Guerlain Girl" who just loves alomst everything Guerlain. I dont know why I never tried the Terracotta line before. I quit the sun routine a long time ago. This beautiful quartet allows me to look like I've kissed by the sun and the finish is beautiful and silky. It is easy to apply with a rounded brush (goat hair), you can customize the color by switching up the blending or use them all for summer. The idea behind this four-shaded genius, is that you can make a lighter (and more believeable) shade that matches the winter and spring months without losing that healthy glow. Use the brush to distrubute the powder by sweeping in a "3" patter on your face by starting with the forehead and sweeping down to the cheeks then sweeping to the chin (3 pattern). Viola! "The search for a realistic bronzer is over. For reference, I wear the following foundation shades: Guerlain 01, Chanel .5, Tom Ford Alabaster, Mac NW13. Medium brown hair, hazel eyes. Typically I wear the lightest neutral shades in any foundation line. I have this Guerlain bronzer in shade 02. It is a realistic tan-look for me, not orange, not red, not muddy. It simply enlivens my face and gives me a healthy radiance. Starting with the compact, you know you've purchased a luxury item. Its weighty, not cheap-feeling plastic. Open up the compact and you have the product, four shades that perfectly fit the description "caramelized tones" as given by Nordstrom. One of the four shades has golden shimmer but it does not look like tacky glittery shimmer on the skin; in fact, all I detect is a slight luminosity, and I mean slight. I despise visible shimmer--this product instead provides subtle luminosity, very classy. With the four shades provided if you don't even want a subtle glow, you could easily use the other matte shades. This product is scented, smelling like a powdery vintage French body lotion--slightly floral, slightly powder, some violet and rose perhaps. I apply this with the MAC 187 duo-fiber brush to be sure that it doesn't go on too heavy with my fair skin, but I honestly think this would go on nicely with any brush. Absolutely highly recommended--splurge and treat yourself to this fantastic product." Guerlain 'Terracotta Four Seasons' Bronzer Reviews"This bronzer has stood the test of time. I have used the same compact for almost a year now, and it was perfect throughout all 4 seasons of Chicago weather. It is a perfect pop of color in the winter, but still blends flawlessly with a tan in the summer. Even after 11 months of use, I still can't see the bottom of the compact! This product is definitely worth the money. I use 02 (Natural Blond)" |
