I apologize for this late report, but I lost my internet when I had the shingles on my roof replaced. I got the internet back last night.
On Saturday, April 26, 7 of us from the Murie Audubon bird ID class went to Goldeneye Reservoir west of Casper. We had a great day, and found 7 whitish geese on the east end of the lake. I thought they looked like immature Snow Geese until they had a Gadwall close to them. These birds were only a little bigger than the Gadwall. Luis Alza took pictures of them, and they are clearly Ross's Geese. I'm puzzled by the color of these birds. I expected these geese to be white and black, not the off white that they were.
We also had lots of ducks and shorebirds. Nothing unusual, just lots of birds. I'm going to file an eBird report, and you can look that up on eBird for Natrona County. I don't have the technical ability to link that here.
