Happy New Year! We’re kicking off 2026 with real momentum.
Next week, WyGEO is co-hosting the Wyoming Geospatial Community Forum (Jan 12) as the presummit to the Wyoming Open Science Data Summit (Jan 13–14) at the University of Wyoming Conference Center in Laramie.
The presummit is a direct outcome of the Jim Geringer Lecture Series and the WyGEO Community Survey. We will be bringing survey results into the room and moving deliberately from discussion to action, with a focus on concrete next steps for statewide data
governance, coordination, and progress toward a shared Wyoming basemap.
If you work with geospatial data in Wyoming, whether as a producer, user, decision-maker, or some combination of these roles, this is a meaningful opportunity to help shape what comes next alongside peers from government, academia, and industry.
We hope to see a strong WyGEO presence as we turn community input into statewide momentum.
