Yea, it looks like it did and he almost certainly already knows. The database contains so many records that when something hiccups a considerable amount of time is required to rebuild it, so while the rebuild runs the web site page returns results from a static source that's current up to the point of the crash. Once the rebuild completes he'll switch over to the live database and you'll start to see the updates again. ... or at least I think that's still the correct explanation.
