issues on ubuntu intrepid ibex amd64

I use the latest from download area and i get this error

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgcc

Linking nspr

Ok i installed the 32bit libraries

$ sudo apt-get install libc6-dev-i386

but now the ld is confused

I deleted all the m32 references in Makefiles
but seems that there are 64 bit errors
