Dear all,

Just a heads-up: I tried everything to keep my application's menu bar
from disappearing after it was clicked. Then I compiled the wxWidgets
3.2-examples the current ubuntu version came with. Same problem.

Compiling wxWidgets from the main git tree resulted in my application
working just fine => the problem is fixed upstream.

Solution until upstream enters Ubuntu:  UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0

Kind regards,

  Gunter.

What is current Ubuntu version and what wx version does it come with?

Curious, I don't remember fixing this since 3.2. And if it was fixed since
3.2, it would be nice to find when and backport the fix to 3.2.

Regards,

wxWidgets 3.2.9 and kUbuntu 25.10, 26.04. and the current development
version of 26.10.

Compiling wxWidgets on my computer takes *hours*. But I'll try to start
an git bisect in the next days...

Kind regards,

Thanks. My memory is notoriously poor but I just can't think of any recent
fixes for this...

Using ccache should help a bit.

This would be very welcome, TIA!
