Hello,
I'm just testing the taskbar sample on Ubuntu 20.04 with GNOME desktop. The sample app cannot show taskbar icon on the top-right corner. Another demp app in Qt can show it properly. I have no idea why they have different behaviors. I've not installed any third-party plugins to customize my desktop. Does anyone know the reason? Thanks!

The reason is that GTK deprecated, which, in GTK speak, means broke,
GtkStatusIcon which wx uses for implementing wxTaskBarIcon and there is
simply no replacement for it. This is not specific to wxGTK, other GTK
applications also have the same problem, but AFAIK there is still no good
solution for it.

Sorry,
