Thanks I found it. But it does not run under win9x. Are there other
projects not listed to wxWidgets.org?

Yes, for example wxMusik[1]. Look around the applications listings on
wxwidgets.org, freshmeat listings, sourceforge projects, and so on.

wxWidgets is for GUI not for codec.
Take a look at ffmpeg

Sounds good. But is a engine not a player. I found no fmod-based player
on the site.

and i had no get any complaint since now.

Are you a project head of musikCube?

Here is the message-box if I execute musikCube_1.0RC2.exe.

"musikCube unterstützt Windows 2000, XP, 2003 Server.

Wir bieten KEINE Unterstützung für Windows 95, 98, oder ME an."

thats all

No. I was talking of wxMusik NOT musikCube, which is the project of the
former developer of
Musik( the former name of wxMusik) and written with MFC. Main reason for
him to dump the project was the
flickering of wxWidgets apps at this time.
I have taken over the development then , to see if an app can be
evolutionary be enhanced instead of being written from scratch.
Furthermore i like the crossplatform stuff, being able to develop for
the 3 main platform. i will continue Mac development when my macbook pro
arrives.

I check it.

On wxWidgets.org is the link under "Musik"
http://musik.sourceforge.net/. Behind that is music.cube

Fmod comes with some examples, at least one of them is a 'player'.

It only takes about 5 lines of Fmod code to play an 'audio' in your wx app.

VideoLAN Client (http://www.videolan.org) plays MP3 files and has a
wxWidgets frontend. It may be overkill for just playing MP3 files though.
