I'm 99.997% sure that it doesn't have anything to do with wxWindows. The fact
that you're using a framework doesn't mean that by some magic there will no
more bugs in your code.

I emailed earlier about a components behaviour that did not make sense
now somethng else equally strange, another class component that has been
written did not work, but in a moment of madness I moved the pointer
declaration out of the wxFrame declarations in to a global declaration
and hey presto it works, i move it back into the wxFrame class declaration
it stops working and the program crashes.

Can some one please give me a clue as to why such a strange thing should

happen with wxwindows?
