Does anyone know a fairly recent tutorial of how to set up wxWidgets in
Eclipse CDT?
I am using Eclipse Version: 2021-12 (4.22.0) - Build id: 20211202-1639
and wxWidget 3.1.5 with MSYS2's g++ 11.2.0 .

Thanks in advance.

What OS/port are you using?

How did you compile the library itself?

Thank you.

I wrote a stackoverflow answer a while back about using wxWidgets with the eclipse IDE.

Yes, sorry, I forgot to mention the OS. It is Win8.1 64-bit.

Thanks

Hi,
Is there any special requirement to use CDT? If not have you checked other IDE that are created for C++/wxWidgets?

For instance?
I didn't know that there were IDEs for wxWidgets!

Code::Blocks and CodeLite.
However they are not explicitly wxWidgets IDEs. What it means is that there are templates to create wxWidgets-based project. And there is a RAD tool available with that IDE to create a GUI

other than that, they are general purpose IDE.

Or you can use free copy of MSVC...

Thank you.

I use the Code::Blocks IDE with its wxSmith RAD plugin for wxWidgets on
both Windows and Linux. I find this to be an excellent IDE for wxWidgets
development and also general purpose C++.
