Hello,

This is just to say that we plan to release 2.9.5 this week-end, and it
would be great to update the translations to find out any issues with them
before it. The next release should be 3.0, if no catastrophic problems are
found, so having up-to-date translations would be very nice.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,

Are these really necessary:

- wxTRANSLATE("rawctrl") & other modifiers (src/common/accelcmn.cpp)
- wxTRANSLATE("RawCtrl+") & other modifiers (src/common/accelcmn.cpp)
- _(" ")  (src/richtext/richtextstyledlg.cpp)
- _("Windows Server 2003") & other OS names (src/msw/utils.cpp)
_("...")  (src/generic/filepickerg.cpp)

?

Regards,
C

I think these are necessary because we recognize both the English and the
localized names for the accelerators. I don't know how useful is this in
practice but as long as they have to be translated into the other
direction, for appearance in the menus, anyhow, this doesn't seem like a
big deal.

C> - _(" ")  (src/richtext/richtextstyledlg.cpp)

This one is certainly unnecessary but this seems to be inside some
generated code and I don't know how to deal with it, hopefully Julian can
do something about it.

C> - _("Windows Server 2003") & other OS names (src/msw/utils.cpp)

Not sure about this one, are the OS names really the same in all
languages? Granted, I've never seen them translated myself but I'm not an
expert in localization...

C> - _("...")  (src/generic/filepickerg.cpp)

Again, I don't know how universal the ellipsis is. Apparently it can be
translated, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellipsis#Across_different_languages
but, again, I could be wrong about this.

Hello

One use for the ellipsis to be translated is that if your .po-file is
unicode (which it should...) you can use real unicode chars for this
kind of text. In this case U+2026. The same goes for other
typographical text, like the double apostrophe (") which also has an
unicode variant.

/Jonas (sv translator, update coming soon)
