Hello,

I'd just like to notify this list about upcoming (in about a week) release
of the new stable wxWidgets version 2.8.0 and to ask everyone to update the
translations for this release if possible. As you can see from

http://www.wxwidgets.org/about/i18n.php

quite a few translations are not up to date any more.

Thanks in advance for your help!
VZ

One of them is Norwegian Bokmål so I went ahead and found lots of
strings in all caps where some are keys - PGDN, PAGEDOWN, ESC, ESCAPE
... - while others are not (on my keyboard) - BACK, PAUSE, SNAPSHOT,
SUBTRACT ... What are these strings really? And what is all the
KP_* strings?

All these are the names of the keys ("KP" stands for "key pad" and was
used as key label on some Unix workstations, don't know if it's still in
use though). They're used for the menu labels when the corresponding key is
an accelerator. E.g. if _("Quite\tEsc") string is used in the source for a
menu item, the translation of "ESC" will be used in the translated string.

Hoppsan,

A little short but I'll try to update the French translation.

I saw that Nicolas Velin took care of the last update. Nicolas, are you
working on it too ? I have started translating the new strings, but
there are many of them. And my French is getting rusty...

Vadim, what shall we do with the updated po files ? Send them to you ?

Stephane

Hello,

I just sent the French localisation file to Vadim. It is fully
translated, but it wouldn't hurt if someone took the time to reread it.

Any volunteers ? :-)

Cheers,
