I have used wxWidgets 2.8.12 without much problems on Windows CE 5 and 6
and Mobile 5, 6 and 6.5.
Is it still a goal of the wxWidgets project to support Windows CE and/or
Mobile (or Windows Embedded Compact or Handheld as it is now called)?
I am asking this because I downloaded the wxWidgets 2.9.3 release just
this week and got a lot of problems trying to compile it for Windows
Mobile 5.
First off there weren't any project files but I could make them myself
using bakefile (as described in the README). However the project files
were not a 100% correct (it uses the desktop setup.h file, for instance).
Secondly I got a lot of compiler errors after I fixed the project files.
These are mainly features that CE does not support but also some typos
that only show up in WXWINCE build.
This makes me wonder whether CE/Mobile support is still within the goals
of wxWidgets. But perhaps it is a known issue and still on the roadmap
for wxWidgets 3.0?

We'd like to keep WinCE support in 3.0 but we need help with this as none
of the main developers is working on it, AFAIK. Please post to wx-dev if
you'd like to help with this.
Beyond 3.0 we have no plans for wxWinCE though as the platform itself will
be gone by the time we make 3.2.
