I've been using "simple" tag for the tickets which I consider to be simple
to fix and which could be used as tests for the students for the next GSoC
for example (i.e. they could be asked to fix them to check if they can do
it). However sometimes a bug is a bit more difficult than this but still
something that I feel could be done relatively quickly. So I guess we also
need a "medium" tag. And, of course, sometimes there are bugs which need so
much time that they can only be tagged as "difficult".
Using tags like this does work but it's not obvious and I don't use these
tags much myself and AFAIK nobody else uses them at all. So I wonder if we
could have a separate "difficulty" combobox in Trac with these 3 (or maybe
5, to be consistent with "Priority": "Very simple", "Simple", "Medium",
"Difficult", "Very difficult") values? If it wouldn't be too difficult to
add it, I think it would be useful.
TIA!

Just don't forget to add "Unknown" in there as bugs can be added
without the submitter having even the slightest clue how difficult it
would be to fix.

Yes, either that or just allow leaving it empty (preferable IMO).
