Subject: [wx-dev] How do I use the built-in libpng?
This was discussed in October as part of a thread on headers for third-
party packages in general. As far as I can determine, there was a
consensus that something needed to be done, but then the thread trailed
off without any agreement on what to do.
In brief, I have an application that uses raw libpng calls. In the cases
where there is no native libpng installed on the system, I would like to
use the libpng that's compiled in to libwx. How do I do this?
It would be ideal if there were some way of #including some wx/header and
always being assured that it was the one matching libwx, either native or
compiled-in, but it would be OK if there were some compile-time symbol
that I could test that would enable me to determine which header to use.
I would also appreciate it if this were back-ported to the stable branch.
So, is there any way to do this?
Tks,

This has been changed/fixed in 2.3.

Maybe (never used it and not going to). But even it has a possibility to
set the word wrap, I know by now (after many entertaining discussions with
Outlook users on this subject).
JHB> Can the change be ported back to 2.2.9?
No - the whole idea of a stable branch is to _not_ make backwards
incompatible changes in it. And the new project files are quite different.

I don't know if they're missing from the wxvc projects on purpose, but if
so, I'm happy 8-).
Please see the archives for more than one thread on this subject 8-).

I don't use OE, but OE5 comes with win2k (unfortunately),
Help->Index->"Word wrap".
