You don't have to build two binaries -- after, all, that's what the
darn thing is all about. You only ship one, _linked with
libunicows.a_. libunicows.a ensures that unicows.dll is loaded on
Win9x systems and that native implementations are used on NT/2000/XP.
Also beware that you are NOT allowed to install unicows.dll on
NT/2000/XP (yet another stupid license agreement...)! You must make
sure that the file is only installed on Win9x systems.

It doesn't matter which version because you don't have unicows.dll
sources ;) You have to
a) download unicows.dll binary from Microsoft
b) download MSLU import library (libunicows.a) from
http://libunicows.sf.net

You don't have to recompile libunicows.a yourself, but if you want to,
you can use any version of Mingw and Netwide Assembler (NASM).
