Greetings all --

I know it's nowhere near time to announce the Spring Equinox Wanderers Gathering (there, I just did), but we know the rule: nearest Friday before or on the day itself if that happens to be a Friday (it usually isn't).

This is what astronomy (was astrology) is all about: a shared reference table (so to speak) wherein anyone with savvy can look up a date, and then, like magic, know when to appear (like at the Pauling House, with a dish).

My role of late has been to do this deep divination, consulting various tea leaf arrangements or other oracular sources (OK, Google) and share it with y'all, but I'm not jealous of this role and if someone else wants to announce the date, my feelings will not be hurt, I assure you. Remember to give the prevailing time as well (PDT or PST as the case may be).

Kirby

PS: hey Terry, I'm proud of myself for using "Adrian Bejan" in a sentence in my journal this morning:

That'd be a joke cuz it'd be at 7 pm regardless of PDT or PST.

For those into all-American melodrama:
(an old favorite spoof of how to Hollywoodize daylight savings)

See y'all in Spring!
