www4mail AT janwagemakers.be

Hello,

Via private mail, someone asked me if I could install www4mail at my VPS at
DigitalOcean. At first instance, my answer was 'no', because I remember that
in the past I've tried to install it without success.

Luckily, this person replied back with instructions on how he has installed
an old version of www4mail localy on his machine, and if I could give it a
second try.

So, I tried to install "www4mail-3.33.tar.gz"¹, but without success (error
about sendmail). When I thought to just give it up, I tried with an older
version "www4mail-3.22.tar.gz" and this seems to work alright.

I've created a new e-mail address "www4mail AT janwagemakers.be", that
should work the same way as "www4mail AT wm.ictp.trieste.it".

Everybody is welcome to test it ;-)

What was that error, if you remember? I'm no perl hacker, but I know sendmail well enough, and I'd be interested.

Like you can see, I make use of postfix. The strange thing was that I got
the impression that www4mail was not reading it's "www4mail.cfg", because
making changes to that didn't give any effect.

Anyway, "www4mail-3.22.tar.gz" seems to work, so I'll use that.
