Here are some statistics from the Los Angeles Times:
40 percent of all workers are working for cash and not paying taxes.
75 percent of people on L.A.'s most-wanted list are illegal aliens.
In Los Angeles, 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide
(which total 1,200 to 1,500) are for illegal aliens. Up to two-thirds
of all fugitive felony warrants (17,000) are for illegal aliens.
Over two-thirds of all births in Los Angeles are to illegal alien
Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by the taxpayers.
Nearly 25 percent of all inmates in California detention centers are
here illegally.
The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are illegals
from south of the border.
Nearly 60 percent of all occupants of HUD properties in California
are
illegal.
Less than 2 percent of illegals are picking crops but 29 percent are
on welfare.
It cost Los Angeles $276 million in welfare costs for 100,000
children
of illegal aliens.
Los Angeles County's emergency rooms are overburdened by the
uninsured
and overwhelmed by illegal immigration. Sixty percent of the county's
uninsured patients are not U.S. citizens, and more than half are here
illegally. With about 2 million undocumented aliens in Los Angeles
County alone, patients in the County's overcrowded emergency rooms
can
wait days for a hospital bed for necessary surgeries. In 2004, Los
Angeles County spent $340 million to treat the uninsured - roughly
$1,000 for every taxpayer - while illegal aliens receive medical
treatment for free.
In the rest of the country:
29 percent of inmates in the federal prisons are illegal aliens.
The lifetime fiscal impact (taxes minus services used) for the
average
adult Mexican immigrant is a negative.
More Americans have died as a result of illegal immigration than from
the battle in Iraq. Illegal aliens in the United States are more than
fourteen times as lethal as a full scale armed conflict.
According to statistics compiled by US Congressman Steve King (R-5th
CD Iowa),
* 13 Americans are killed each day by uninsured drunk driving
illegals
* 12 U.S. citizens die a violent death at the hands of murderous
illegal aliens each day in crimes.
At the end of 2003, approximately 267,000 illegal aliens were
incarcerated in U.S. correctional facilities. COST: $6.8 Billion a
year.
Based on National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data,
illegals
are responsible for 309,050 accidents, 2,132 deaths, 139,400
injuries,
and a cost of $11.5 billion. Data suggest their involvement is much
higher, maybe 3-5 times higher. COST: $11.5 Billion a year.
There are an estimated 5.1 million ESL students in the USA. Since 90%
of the ESL students are children of illegal aliens, the education
costs for children of illegal aliens is about $34.5 billion per year.
COST: $34.5 Billion a year.
Harvard Professor George Borjas has reported that illegal aliens
displaced American workers at a cost in excess of $133 billion
dollars
in 2005. COST:$133 Billion a year.
The Wall Street investment firm Bear Stearns states we are losing $35
billion a year in income tax collections from jobs that are now off
the books. COST: $35 Billion a year.
A Census Bureau study estimates that households headed by illegal
aliens used $10 billion more in government services than they paid in
taxes in 2002. These figures are only for the federal government;
costs at the state and local level are also significant. The study
also finds that if illegal aliens were given amnesty, the fiscal
deficit at the federal level would grow by nearly $29 billion. COST:
Between$10-29 Billion a year.
Jonathan Weisman of the Washington Post states "The Senates embattled
immigration bill would raise government spending by as much as $126
billion over the next decade. COST: $12.6 Billion a year.
Many illegal aliens are carrying horrific third world diseases. In
the
40 years prior to 2002, there were only 900 total cases of leprosy in
the US. In the following three years there have been 9,000 cases. TB
is epidemic in many illegal alien communities and a new Multiple-
Drug-
Resistant (MDR) TB is spreading. Each person infected with TB will
infect 10 others. Treating a single case of MDR TB costs between
$250,000 and $1,200,000 per person. COST: Unknown

Between 1991 - 1995, the number of illegal aliens sentenced in
federal
courts increased by 167 percent, compared with 13 percent for
citizens. There are approximately 240,000 illegal immigrant sex
offenders in the United States. This staggering statistic, rarely
mentioned by the media, was revealed in a study by Deborah Schurman-
Kauflin of the Violent Crimes Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. Since
1999 there have been nearly one million victims of rape, child
molestation, sexual homicides, and rape and molestation of
handicapped
children by illegal immigrants here in the U.S.
