Hi family,

I hope everyone is enjoying this day. I'm not saying that because it sounds good. I really mean it!

Me? I have a new saying when someone ask me how I am doing. I smile and say, "I am in Hawaii". They get it, and smile back. That short phrase reminds of Mies van der Rohe, a famous architect, repeating the words of Robert Browning, a poet, when describing his architecture. "Less is more" were the famous words. Again, the short phrase is fitting. I really like it because I really enjoy life more when I don't have to say a lot to express enormous feelings.

Family, I have been asked by one of our brothers from the Marine Corps League if any of the Wounded Warriors would like to come out to participate in an official "Flag Burning Ceremony." If any of you (staff too) are interested, as a team, you can wear "Service D's", or the red WW shirt and tan trousers. Please let me know if you plan to attend by the close of business tomorrow. The event will be from 1000 to 1330. In Honolulu. I will have better directions tomorrow. I will also drive the van for those that want to ride. Note: I can't drive children in the government vans.

thank You!

FiMarine, 24-7,
GySgt Cleaves

PS
I include everyone on this email because it is a opportunity to see and be a part of an American proud tradition that very few people get a chance to see.

PPS
Bring your children. I think it will be an wonderful experience for them.
