Hi everyone,
Please post your questions for the conference call with our new ally,
Matthew Shaffer, under this post.

Here's the email he sent Erica about helping us:

Erica,

I greatly appreciate your feedback. I will do all I can to seek help
with spreading the interest. As of now, I have three other folks of
the engineering/chemistry background interested in the project.
Each can offer great knowledge from design to quality control
measures in regard to validation and testing. Please plan to have a
conference call in the near future. I will conform to your schedule...
just set a time and date. I look forward to working on the project and
I will begin seeking a facility location. If one needs constructed,
myself and others interested have experience in building. So we will
build the facility if necessary. Also, in the future, I would like to
copy all correspondence to project members. This is something we can
work out at the upcoming conference call..
Have a great week!

Matthew D. Shaffer

Thanks,
Kayla

to WVU Biodiesel Project
Hey everyone,

Clement Solomon, the WVU sustainability coordinator, has said he will
meet with the Biodiesel Project early in the coming semester. He did
not offer any specific answers to biodiesel-related questions in the
meeting that I attended with him, instead deferring them to this
tentative meeting. We should determine when would be a good date/time
for this meeting, who can attend, and go in with a clear strategy of
what we want to accomplish at the meeting. This will be highly
dependent on the role that Matthew Shaffer and his contacts at Mylan
plays in helping us get off the ground (because the more they do, the
less WVU will have to do). WVU might be more willing to help if they
have a partner such as Mylan.

Here's some possible questions to ask Matthew Shaffer:
1. Can he help us develop our own method of quality control/fuel
testing
so that we do not have to have it repeatedly ASTM-tested?
2. He mentioned constructing a building to house the process, but we
are
very limited financially. Is he proposing to provide us financial
assistance?
3. Can we set up a meeting in person? It would be great if we could
get
him and the sustainability coordinator to the same meeting!
4. If he were to help us, would it remain a student-run process?
5. Is he willing to endorse us to WVU and work with them to help get
us
off the ground?

I'm sure there are many other questions we should ask, but those are
the
ones that initially come to my mind. Are we going to do this
conference
call once school is back in session?

Best,
Morgan
