I'd like to suggest you guys have Rick Falkvinge speak at ACM.
For those of you who don't know who he is, Rick is the founder of the
Swedish (and first) Pirate Party, a prominent speaker on intellectual
property, copyright reform, civil liberties, privacy, and so many
other topics important to net neutrality and overall freedom. Much of
his work is visible on his website (http://falkvinge.net), but some of
his best articles can be read on the TorrentFreak news website (ie.
http://torrentfreak.com/return-of-the-high-court-and-low-court-111002/
and others at http://torrentfreak.com/author/rick-falkvinge/).
It is important to note that Rick is a very powerful player in
European politics as of lately, with the Green party and others now
adopting his fundamental ideology on copyright reform and information
privacy. Because of this, I believe he would be a valuable speaker
for the WVU ACM.
His keynotes web page is at http://falkvinge.net/keynotes/, but I
believe it would be beneficial to have him speak via Skype, Google+
chat, or other means due to him residing in Sweden.
Thoughts?
