Exec. Board Meeting During Spring Fling on March 24 (Thursday)

Hello all - just a reminder that our next Executive Board meeting will
be at Flatwoods on March 24, 2011 starting at 12 noon with lunch.

The agenda will follow in coming weeks; however, I wanted to alert
everyone of the change since we all agreed to hold this meeting during
Spring Fling rather than Friday, March 25 as originally planned.

One thing Beth reminded me of is that we normally do not pay Executive
Board reimbursements and expenses if a meeting takes place during a
conference. The handbook specifically mentions "Annual Conference" but
I am assuming this may also include spring fling.

I believe the original intent of this clause was to recognize that
many of the board members would likely be attending the conferences
anyway and the association should not be responsible for his/her
travel. I recognize that there may be some people who are not planning
to attend the conference but will be present to join us for the board
meeting. For some of you, this may mean a fairly lengthy and expensive
trip.

Using Wimba should mitigate this issue completely so none of you are
out the additional expense. If you would prefer to join us remotely on
March 24, I am happy to accommodate this. I just need to know a little
bit in advance so I can be sure I have the appropriate equipment with
me.

I am interested in your opinions so please post to our executive board
list so we can discuss!
