Hi everybody with a Vantage Pro2,

there's a new firmware out which apparently corrects for a barometer
error, maybe the spikes will be gone in the future??? Look at:

http://www.davisnet.com/support/weather/software_frmwr.asp

Mark, interesting for you: there's a new serial command "LPS 2" which
should be useful for the CWOP upload.
Refer to http://www.davisnet.com/support/weather/download/VantageSerialProtocolDocs_v230.pdf
for details.

Appears to require a $155 commercial installer package....

(from the davis web site)
"Our Firmware is downloadable at no charge, but requires use of our
Vantage Pro Updater for Vantage Pro2 or Vantage Pro Updater for
Original Vantage Pro, which are available for purchase through our
secure e-commerce system."

Yep. Unless you have the USB datalogger connection... then you can do it for free through the PC software.

Well, you could even update the firmware with the WeatherLink IP over
the network either via raw Ethernet or via TCP/IP...

But the update for the Weather Envoy Wireless, which is a Vantage Pro 2
without the display, is missing. "Removed for further testing" they write.

You can contact Davis and rent it for $20. That's what I did 1st
upgrade.

Also, according to their site, if your console firmware version has a
date past November 2005, you can install it directly without the
updater using software on their site.

Yes, if you have a WeatherLink Serial, WeatherLink USB or Weatherlink
IP. But if you use wview, you will have one of them ;)
