Any tips?
ps: I do not turn off the console.

I do not think that wview can retrieve archived station data.  You must keep the wview program running at all times.

That is my understanding, anyway.

Hi Marcio,
Do not know what type of console you have, however Wview will only read archive data from a couple of Davis models.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi,
Sorry,
I forgot to say that my console is the Davis Vantage Pro2.
I have two stations VP2.
One that is not connected to the computer, because it is in a remote location without power. Only collect this data by computer and wview of months in months without problems.
But the other, who has a computer permanently connected to the console, when I turn off the computer occurs it does not recover the data.
Paul, I do not understand what you wanted to say: "Wview will only read archive data from a couple of Davis models".

Thank you
marcio

Marcio,

If you can not download data from the VP2 console, remove all power from the console for at least 20 minutes. Then restart wview.

Brad4,
Thanks for the reply.
But I can download the data from the console. Or did not understand?

The console can not store or hold data for more than a few minutes. You need to keep wview running so that it can keep the memory buffer in the console free for the console to add more data. The console is not suppose to archive data. The console memory buffer has a limited size.

A VP2 console should hold a tad more than a week of data at a five
minute archive interval.

Indeed - mine can hold around a months worth of data, at 5 minute
archive interval.
Very glad it can as we often get day long power cuts!

Thank for replay.
The Datalogger of VP2 has only 128kb. Which is to record approximately 28 days of data from 15 to 15 minutes.
Then the VP2 should not lose data due to wview not be running.
Still do not know what is happening.
