54 EME first day Qsos from H40GJ!

I am on the sidelines at the moment. There is antenna issue. It likely will require a manlift to reach. There is a slim chance the problem is in the shack.  It should be simple to determine. Yesterday I had too much neuro brain fog to troubleshoot anything. Better shape today.

If needed I will call Sunbelt tomorrow.

The best condx are still to come. We have time.

I might be able to work lance with reduced power and a crippled antenna
Last resort. Most of the big stations are logged already.

Hi Lance
Happy to work you.
54 qsos for the 1st moon is  fantastic. After so many problems this number of qsos makes all  efforts worthwhile.
Keep up the good work Fred

After working hard all day to get things set up here, I stayed QRV for the entire first moon pass. I was rewarded with 54 6m EME contacts! Many thanks to all of you who made the effort to get on 50.223 and look for me! As explained on the H40GJ DXpedition web page, the total 6m log so far is available on the following link:

One of the highlights was finding that I have fantastic ground gain during my moonrise! I am looking forward especially to the next moonrise! At these latitudes down here in the TEP Zone, there is a great advantage when operating EME in the middle of the night when there is less likely to be any ionospheric interference in front of the antenna - this is especially important when I am aimed on the horizon! So for the next few moonrises, at least, cndx from here are likely to be quite favorable.

I am having trouble connecting to the internet from the ham shack computer, but found that my cell phone seems to be slightly more sensitive in connecting to weak WiFi, and was able to confirm contacts on the ON4KST EME CHAT page using my cell phone when it was not possible to connect with my laptop.

Hate to hear you have antenna problems Charlie.  Hopefully the problem is in the shack and not at the antenna.  Good luck.
