[Charlie Young]

A day or two ago I got the 17M antenna working.   Don't ask what fixed it!   I just disconnected stuff at the outdoor relay box, put the analyzer on all the bands, and when it was reassembled the thing seemed to work. 

We tested it under fire just now, with a QSO for ZS8W.   This was a new Challenge point on 17M. Slid in under the wire. 

Prop left shortly after the QSO. 

I heard him answer W8IW twice but did not see the RR73.  Might have missed it.  Hopefully Dave you are in his log. 

I had a shot but missed him on 80.  No ant for 160 yet.  Happy with CW, Digital mode slots and 30/17M Challenge points from ZS8 all things considered. 

Congratulations to all who have worked him anywhere.

By the way, ZS8W was definitely coming in via the long path this morning.   Twice I rotated the big 17M yagi around all directions, and the only heading where I could hear him was northwest, which was LP.
